The refreshment table had a center arrangement of a large pumpidn with leaves and acorns banking it and the orange candles in crystal holders. Leaves were algo used on the skirt of the table. A vase of gladioli and chrysanthemums in fan shape arrangement was used on the piano. Pryeeantha berries were used in the lounge and the ball room. Hors d’ oeuvres of assorted pickles, olives, cheese and sausage were serv ed from picks that were stuck in'ttm pumpkin. Shrimp and tomato sauce, pastry puffs filled with cream cheese, doughnuts, rite and tomato juice were served. Pretaels were served on the individual tables. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allen, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Casper and Mrs. Charles Duke. baptist MISSIONARY SOCIETY MEETING The Baptist Missionary Society held its regular meeting at the church on Monday afternoon. Mrs. George W. Davis, president, presided over the business session during which announcement was made, of the blanket gift to the World Com munity. Day project. Mrs. W. D. Fields, chairman, gave the kitchen committee report. Mrs. Russell Britt conducted a panel discussion on the book, “Whither Asia,” and was assisted by Mesdames J. C. Parker, Dalton Cor bett, J. W. Miller, and JB. B. Turnage.
